The Bremen Mission is offering an Ewe language course in Bremen from 10th to 14th August 2026. It is intended for future North-South volunteers and other interested parties.
The Ewe language course offers a solid introduction to the language and culture. Ewe is spoken in southern Togo and in the Volta Region of Ghana. The course focuses on greeting rituals, shopping situations and everyday vocabulary. This is intended to help future volunteers settle in well in Ghana and Togo, hold first simple conversations and kindle their interest in continuing to learn the language whilst in the field. The course is led by Gentil Atiwo, who is Togolese and is studying German and Romance languages at the University of Bremen.
