today you are receiving the September 2025 issue of the Newsletter, which will be published by the North German Mission (NM).

In addition to informations about the next Afrikanissimo-evening and other events, we will also inform you about the abolition of the appeal process for visa applications by the Federal Foreign Office and about a petition regarding the Supply Chain Act.

You will also find general information from Ghana and Togo and, of course, we will introduce you to the current project in the “Project of the month” series.

We would be delighted if you would recommend our newsletter to your friends and acquaintances.

School Uniforms in Ghana

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana runs numerous schools where, like in every ghanaian school, school uniforms are compulsory in order to prevent social exclusion and promote a sense of community. The high price of the uniforms is a financial burden for the parents. The church has therefore decided to sell the fabric for the uniforms itself in order to reduce the price. By cutting out the middlemen and buying in bulk, the price could be standardised and made more affordable. The church is also planning to involve tailors in the production of the uniforms in order to further reduce costs. At the moment, however, there is a lack of funds to offer discounts or free uniforms to needy families.
