It contains informations about events in Bremen, Lippe, Oldenburg and Hamburg, as well as an EKD campaign for climate justice and an EU emergency declaration on Togo.

You will also find general information from Ghana and Togo and, of course, we will introduce you to the current project in the “Project of the month” series.

We would be delighted if you would recommend our newsletter to your friends and acquaintances.

Technical Training in Alavanyo / Ghana

In Ghana, as in Germany, young people need training to build their future. The Evangelical Presbyterian Church Ghana runs a vocational training center in Alavanyo, in the Volta Region. Founded in 1973, the school now offers eight programs such as construction, tailoring, mechanics, and electrical installation.

Nearly 1,300 students are enrolled, many living in dormitories. Recent improvements include new sanitary facilities, a protective wall, and a small clinic that also serves the local community. However, additional medical equipment is still needed.

The school continues to provide young people with valuable skills and opportunities for a better future.
