Dear friends of the North German Mission,

today you are receiving the June 2025 issue of the Newsletter, which will be published by the North German Mission (NM).

We would like to draw your attention to this year's KulturMitmachMarkt in Bremen and an Ewe language course. Furthermore, the new NM donation store has been put online.

You will also find general information from Ghana and Togo and, of course, we will introduce you to the current project in the “Project of the month” series.

We would be delighted if you would recommend our newsletter to your friends and acquaintances.

Best regards from the Newsletter team in Bremen

Microcredit- and savings groups in Togo

Microfinance groups of the Evangelical Church in Togo (EEPT) primarily support women who are unable to obtain bank loans due to a lack of collateral. Pastor Joseph Ahlidja has been leading such savings and credit programmes and training multipliers since 2014. At the moment more than 350 such groups exist in the differnet parishes of the EEPT. The women save together, receive loans or share savings. They use the money to improve their agricultural yields or set up small businesses. The programme promotes their financial independence and boosts their self-confidence. Ahlidja plans to expand the programme further.
