High-School in Lomé/ Togo

Especially in a country with a difficult economic situation, a quality education is urgently needed. This is why the Eglise Evangélique Presbytérienne du Togo (EEPT) runs numerous primary and high schools. One of these is the high school in Lomé, which is located in a poorer neighbourhood of the city.
The college is financed by state subsidies and school fees of the equivalent of 225 euros per capita per year. However, this is not enough to keep the school running. The EEPT has to provide a large part of the funding. To secure the power supply and reduce costs it is the wish of the headmistress to install a solar power system, if they are able to secure funding for the same. Furthermore there are also plans to pave the walkways between the individual buildings, as the sandy ground regularly turns into deep mud during the rainy season.
