The Evangelical Presbyterian Churches in Ghana and Togo

- are engaged in many different social welfare projects and many areas which are important for development. Amongst them are schools, theological and craft training centres, healthcare centres, programs for women and youths and many more.

The programs exemplarily show the long lasting working fields of our African partner churches. Those programs are set up long dated and get continuously supported by donations and grants to the Bremen Mission.

The projects are self-help initiatives of groups and parishes who plan and implement those projects, supported by the qualified personnel of the African churches. The material costs also contain costs for advice, planning, company and costs for transportation for the development departments. In Ghana, also projects of single persons get supported if they engage for education or employment. Those single persons are not supported through grants, but through credits. The back paid credits flow into a microcredit program through which further projects for development get financed. Donations are only used for the project mentioned on the remittance. If there is a surplus in one project, we use the money - if there is a bigger surplus - we talk about it to the supporters - for other projects which are the same as the one the money had been donated for.
