Partnership between Christians from different parts of the world depends on encounters and on mutual understanding. It thrives on joint celebrations, on listening to the Gospel of Jesus and on prayer. This is why all six member churches of Bremen Mission celebrate, once per year, on Trinity Sunday, a partnership service (the Latin word Trinitatis means the first Sunday after Pentecost).
The congregations in Germany, Ghana and Togo who participated gave enthusiastic accounts of these experiences.
Each year, Bremen Mission develops a central topic for these church services which the churches use for their services. For instance, in 2008, the topic was „Climate Chaos in our Earthly Home: change your life style instead of just carrying on! “
Furthermore, sermon proposals, texts for further reflection, but also ideas for hymns and prayers are devised.
The text proposals are developed by the church workers in Togo, Ghana and Germany and can be retrieved from the internet.
