Vietnamese President Luong Cuong stated during a meeting with Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations that bilateral ties should be strengthened.
This would also promote cooperation and mutual support in multilateral forums and organizations such as the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the International Organization of La Francophonie, and the African Union. Vietnam is also willing to collaborate with Togo on agricultural projects that include technology transfer and knowledge exchange.
Minister Dussey stated that Vietnam and Togo share a vision of promoting national development and social stability. Togo supports Vietnam and considers the country one of its most important partners in Asia. Togo aims to learn from Vietnam's development experience and enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
