The Secretary General of the Bremen Mission, Heike Jakubeit, successfully completed the Master’s degree programme “Nonprofit Management & Governance” in December 2025.
The part-time degree programme, which Jakubeit financed privately, provides in-depth knowledge in the leadership, governance and organisation of nonprofit organisations. Core subjects include management, governance, financing, law, strategy and controlling in the nonprofit sector, as well as ethics, transparency and impact orientation. The programme is complemented by strong practical components, project work and research methods, enabling organisations to be shaped in a professional, responsible and sustainable manner.
The part-time degree programme usually lasts five to six semesters and is offered by the Professional School of the University of Münster. A full-time programme over four semesters is available at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin) or at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Management in Nonprofit Organisations).
