More than four months after the April election, Togo still has no government.
Now, the long-standing president and current head of government with expanded powers, Faure Gnassingbé, has appointed a Secretary-General of the government. Stanislas Baba, a former minister and close advisor to Gnassingbé, will take on this position, which is expected to pave the way for the imminent formation of a government.
