With the withdrawal of development funding from what had been the largest donor — the United States — the situation in many countries of the Global South is worsening dramatically.
Health, education, and the security of people in these regions are now in real danger. But countries of the Global North will also feel the impact of this cut, as growing global inequalities will lead to increasing economic and political challenges. How Bremen and Berlin should respond to this situation has been outlined in a position paper jointly issued by twelve Bremen-based organizations — including the Bremen Mission.
