Racism has many faces – including within the church. People of Color experience everyday racism and institutional discrimination in the workplace. Can prejudices be dismantled? For pastoral counselor Égide Muziazia, the discriminatory insults led to personal withdrawal—but also to solidarity within the Catholic Diocese of Münster. Sarah Vecera works at the VEM mission organization. She publishes, hosts her own podcast, and leads anti-racism workshops. Nicolas Moumouni is an advisor for intercultural development in the Protestant North Church, and priest Uchenna Aba from Goch-Kessel now incorporates African traditions into his work as a Catholic pastor.
