The ‘Bremen Development Policy Network’ (BeN) and the ‘Africa Network Bremen’ offer a training for guides of postcolonial city tours through Bremen. The programme is aimed at youth and young adults between 14 and 30 years of age.
The topics of the training are post-colonialism, racism and culture of remembrance as well as pedagogical skills in mediation work. There are two more modules on the programme in June. On 4 June at 6pm, an online event will address the question: 'Post-colonialism, racism and privilege today: what can be done in everyday life?’ On 5 June, there will be a workshop on 'Learning to live together' from 9am to 12pm, and an excursion to different places in Bremen from 2pm to 5pm.
